Road munching, zijn the points you get for driving on roads with dots: your vehicle icon changes to a Waze Pacman ®.
Cookies are the dots on unconfirmed roads (sometimes called Pacman roads). Road munching is driving on such roads and earning points. It also confirms that the road is passable for the Waze server.
These roads have dots, and your vehicle icon changes to a Pacman when you drive on them.
The purpose is to validate the road. Whenever a new road is added to the map and you drive over it, you munch the road to confirm that the road exists.
