Points are not displayed in the app. They are only used to help Wazers find locations, especially when they are not listed or are listed incorrectly in other search engines. Because the places can be looked up/selected from the [[Waze app|app]], the accurate positioning of a point and providing a full address (including [[House numbers|street number]]) are both extremely important. 

 
In the [[Waze Map Editor|editor]], a point is displayed as a small circle, with the exception of a residential place, which is shown as a small triangle.
